Oregon State Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous
OSYPAA is a yearly statewide conference for young people in AA. Each year a different Oregon city’s host committee puts on a weekend of speakers, marathon meetings and fellowship.

Facts, aims and purposes
About a year after hosting WACYPAA, the young people’s committee in Eugene was looking for a new purpose. It was no longer a bid committee, and unity among YPAA groups in the area had dropped off.
To unify the area, and then the whole state, EASYPAA (Eugene and Springfield Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous) voted to disband. They immediately re-formed as the first OSYPAA host committee.
OSYPAA’s aim is to reach young people in sobriety and carry the message of AA’s Twelve Steps, while showing that life as a sober young person is exciting and worthwhile.

Bid info
Any group of young people in AA in Oregon can bid to host. Bids are presented in person at the conference, along with a skit that shows off your theme.
